A parcel-gilt Portuguese silver beaker of plain cylindrical form, with silver bands at the base and upper rim, nicely chased with flower garlands. Maker's mark of Antonio Firma da Costa, and the Lisbon city hallmark that was used during the early 19th century, c. 1810/1820. This reputed silversmith was active between 1793 and 1824 and is known to be the silversmith to the Royal Court of Portugal. (sold)
