Een 'creamware' bord, vervaardigd in Staffordshire (Leeds of Liverpool), Engeland, voor de Zuid-Nederlandse markt. Bovenglazuur polychroom gedecoreerd met de voorstelling van een priesterwijding en het onderschrift: 'De Priesterorder'. Doorsnede 25 cm. Datering ca. 1780. Prijs € 235.-
A Staffordshire creamware plate, with scalloped rim, decorated in Holland with a religious scene of a priest kneeling before a bishop, three figures and a server in attendance, the Holy Spirit descending from the clouds, titled 'De Priesterorder' within a green and iron-red leaf meander. Made for the Dutch market, last quarter 18th century.
