Honorary medal for faithful services in Customs service (1939-1945). A bronze cross pattee with a beaded inner edge. Obverse: A Nazi German eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika within a wreath and surrounded by a larger acanthus wreath. Reverse: The inscription 'Für Treue Dienste im Zollgrenz Schutz' (For loyal duty in the Customs Service) on five lines within an acanthus wreath. The medal is fitted with a small loose ring suspender and a blue silk ribbon, embroidered with a swastika. Instituted on 17 February 1939 and awarded for four years loyal service for uniformed staff, or for eight years service for non-uniformed civilian employees in the Customs Service (sold)
