Founded in 1978, Joep Haffmans' art and antiques business is situated in a former Utrecht City Mission church. A wide choice of good quality 18th and 19th century furniture is displayed in the 400 square meters premises. Haffmans also offers objects d’art and collectibles. After finishing his law studies mr. Joep Haffmans established an art- and antiques business in Utrecht (Holland). Having a widespread interest in all aspects of this fascinating trade, he does not limit himself to a specialization, but occupies himself with numerous aspects of the trade, like furniture, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, silver and metalware, applied arts and numismatics. This generalized knowledge serves him with another activity: valuing estates and collections for inheritance and insurance purposes. Haffmans is a consultant for various restoration works. Apart from these commercial activities Joep Haffmans has published books about the Utrecht artists Erich Wichman and Cris Agterberg, both active in the Art Deco era. Haffmans frequently offers antiques and collectibles via eBay on-line auctions.
